It’s autumn, the season of appetite. I’m small in stature, but large servings are my default.
　
　
On my day off recently, I went to "Menya Hanabi" for some Taiwan Mazesoba. It was the best Taiwan Mazesoba I’ve ever had, and I was so touched that they kindly taught me about "oimeshi" (adding rice to the leftover sauce), since it was my first time there. They seem to have several locations, so if you’re nearby, please give it a try. Nagoya has great food. Sorry for the food porn!
　
Now then, this past weekend, we set up shop at HANGOUT, an exhibition and experience-based event for trail running and backpacking brands!
　

Day one of the Circles Pop-up Shop at @hangout_tokai has finished. Thank you to everyone who stopped by. We'll be waiting for you again tomorrow near the entrance of Zone C in the red tent, with bike test rides, carefully selected cycling items, and baked goods from @pine_fields_market! ＼(^^)／

Circles carries items useful for outdoor activities from brands like Patagonia, Altra, Hoka One One, and Houdini, but for this event, we picked out items mainly for cycling to introduce at the venue.

Furthermore, we prepared test-ride bikes, which have been well-received since the All-City Fan Meeting two weeks ago, as part of an interactive experience to get visitors on bikes.
　

Even people who usually only run were very interested when they heard they could ride bikes. Many were surprised when they heard the price, but everyone enjoyed riding them around together.
　

Most of the women and those who had never used drop handlebars before were beginners, but once they got the hang of it, they were zooming along the jeep roads of Kenmin-no-Mori. It seems people who are physically active on a regular basis improve quickly.
　
We mainly brought MTBs and bikes with thick tires to suit the road surface, and even those who usually ride road bikes seemed surprised by their rough-road performance and ride comfort. Thick tires aren't as heavy as you might think.
　
It’s hard to explain the appeal of cycling in words, so trying it out yourself is the fastest way.
　

Our two-day exhibition at HANGOUT has successfully finished. It was a fulfilling two days where I met many people and many got to try out the test bikes! ... And it seems even Mr. Ishida from @outdoorspecialitymoose, our organizer, has discovered the joy of mountain biking. ... In terms of playing in nature, this event reminded me again that I want everyone to enjoy bikes, running, and all other activities without boundaries. Koshino-san, a seasoned cyclist at CRC, entered the Damonde Trail wearing Bedrock Sandals. He placed 2nd in the 3-hour solo master class category!
