What's up!
Rain, rain, rain.
Isn't the weather forecast for this week just awful?
I'm supposed to go downhill mountain biking at "Fujiten" with some customers this Thursday, which is Circles' day off...
I have no idea how it’s going to turn out.
Anyway, yesterday, September 18th, was the anniversary of the death of my favorite musician, Jimi Hendrix.
So, yesterday I watched the movie "Jimi: All Is by My Side."
It’s a well-known story that his girlfriend at the time criticized the film, saying the Hendrix who appeared in it was nothing like the real one.
I wonder what the truth is?
In Japan, Jimi Hendrix is often abbreviated as "Jimi-Hen."
So, today I'd like to introduce "Jimi" (simple/understated) but super-useful part No. 1, a bike stand, and a cargo bike loved by "Hen"-tai (eccentrics) in the best sense of the word.
Coming at you, Jimi-Hen style.
Speaking of simple and eccentric, meet this guy: Circles' premier bicycle freak, Hibiki Kamo, a.k.a. "Kamo-chan." Back in high school, he was such a mechanical geek that he represented Nagano Prefecture in the National Robot Contest, or "Robocon." He's a total weirdo.
What Kamo-chan is holding is:
[URSUS] JUMBO80 Double leg Kickstand ¥8,195 (excl. tax)

It’s a double-leg stand with a dynamic body and a solid, heavy-duty feel.
It won’t fit every bike, but for certain types of bicycles, it’s incredibly effective.

A bicycle that can carry and transport tens of kilograms of cargo.
Yes, that's a cargo bike.

It has a load capacity of 80kg.
With its low center of gravity and high stability, you can load your gear with peace of mind.

This stand is built to be extremely durable, so to be honest, it’s a bit heavy. (Though I doubt anyone riding a cargo bike is too worried about component weight.)
Because the double legs have some weight, you might worry about them rattling when folded, but as expected of URSUS, you won’t notice any rattling at all while riding.
It’s not too stiff either, so it deploys smoothly.
If you own a cargo bike, why not consider swapping to this stand? I highly recommend it. It would also be a great match for commuter bikes equipped with child seats.
If you’re unsure whether it will fit your bike, please don’t hesitate to ask us for advice.

By the way, this cargo bike is the SOMA FABRICATIONS TRADESMAN CARGO.
We will introduce it in more detail next time.
See you!
