Cyclocross was so much fun!!
Hi everyone, happy here.
Today I participated in the Tokai Cyclocross race.
It was held on the embankment at 138 Tower Park in Ichinomiya, which is very accessible from Nagoya. (It takes about 40 minutes by car from Circles)
The venue also had food and drink booths, and our very own SimWorks along with local bicycle dealers had shops set up, so Tokai Cyclocross is well-equipped for more than just racing!
Since the venue was 138 Tower Park, passing neighbors and families stopped by to see what all the excitement was about. Perhaps they were looking at us with cold eyes, wondering why we'd do this in such freezing weather?
No, that can't be it! Undeterred by the cold, I pedaled with all my might.
Once the race starts, your body warms up quickly, and by the end, you're drenched in sweat. I entered the C4 category; this category is perfect for anyone racing for the first time to really enjoy themselves!
This course was a speed course, and with patches of exposed asphalt here and there, there were a series of rim-strike punctures. This is exactly when tubeless or tubular tires really shine. If you felt frustrated by the course this time, please feel free to come talk to us about an upgrade.
Now, some of you may have noticed... wait, there are no photos of the actual race!!
That's right...
The truth is, three of us from the Circles staff entered the C4 race, and since we all raced at the same time, there's no one to take photos! m(_ _)m
For me, the mission I set for myself wasn't about moving up a category, but about beating Tomoda-san! Unfortunately, I couldn't fulfill that mission and ended with a disappointing result. I'll definitely get my revenge next time. Man, Tomoda-san was fast in the corners!!
It seems Tomoda-san had been secretly training at home using SportCrafters rollers...
