They say a typhoon is coming.

Despite this beautiful summer sky, they say it will be rainy from tomorrow due to a typhoon.
I have to bring in the plants from my balcony, and if it rains too hard, I won't be able to ride my bike either.
I was thinking it was going to be a disappointing weekend, at least until this arrived.

The Grand Tour Cook Book¥7,800- (excl. tax)
Yes, this book is a cookbook.
Well, it says "Cookbook" right there, doesn't it (laughs).
But it's not just any ordinary cookbook.
It introduces recipes created by Hannah Grant, the team chef for the world-famous pro cycling team Tinkoff-Saxo.
In bicycle racing, where riders can consume up to 7,000 kcal in a single day, food is arguably one of the most important factors.
The meals Hannah prepares to keep the riders fueled are all healthy and nutritionally balanced.
And on top of that, they look absolutely delicious.
If you had a girlfriend or wife who made you meals like these, you'd definitely fall in love with them all over again.
If you don't, why not try making them yourself?
I think I might give it a try tomorrow.
Since it's going to be a typhoon and all.

And another book.
Bicycle by Adam Bell ¥1,600- (excl. tax)
Ever since I was a child, I've loved illustrated encyclopedias.
My favorites were the classics: a dinosaur encyclopedia and a vehicle encyclopedia.
I read them so much the pages started falling out (laughs).
This book, created by graphic designer Adam, is exactly that—an encyclopedia of bicycles.
Each page is written in five languages (German, English, Japanese, Italian, and French), so you can even use it to study languages.
Spending a day off staring at your own bike and nodding along to the pages sounds like fun, too.
Yes, tomorrow is a typhoon, after all.

Please stay safe, everyone.
