Hi everyone, happy here.
Yesterday, I participated in the Tokai Cyclocross race held in the Tokai region.
The venue was on the banks of the Nagara River in Kaizu City, Gifu Prefecture, which is very accessible from Nagoya.
(About an hour from circles)
And for my entry category, C4, even those racing for the first time can have a blast!
Actually, it was my first time entering a race other than the Nobeyama CX,
so just between us, I couldn't sleep the night before due to a mix of excitement, anxiety, and nerves.
I was nervous before the start, but once the race began, the sleepiness and anxiety vanished, and I enjoyed every moment of it!
Everyone has their own reasons for getting into racing, but
I thoroughly enjoyed every single part of it.
When you're racing, it's easy to focus solely on getting a good result, but
I realized the most important thing is to enjoy the ride.
If you do that, good results tend to follow naturally.
Taka-san, who had the most fun, finished 7th in C4!
I've always hated practicing for any sport, but I’ve loved the actual games.
(Actually, I even went to the Inter-High School Championships for volleyball back in high school.)
It’s the same with cycling; beyond just racing, I like to ride all sorts of places on all sorts of bikes,
seeing beautiful scenery and going out for delicious food.
And then, every once in a while, I enter a race.
Maybe it’s good to think of it as "play is practice" and "practice is play," and just enjoy the race with a playful mindset.
Once you take that first step, I think you'll find yourself drawn into the world of competition.
Cycling has so many different worlds to offer, which is why it's so much fun.
The race venue is less than an hour from circles, and since the first race, C4, starts around 9:00 AM, if you enter in C3 or C4, you could spend the morning racing and have the afternoon free for a date.
I’ll be entering in C4 occasionally myself, so if you're interested in cyclocross racing, please feel free to reach out.
Let’s have fun riding together.
The next one is on January 12th.
I wonder who from circles will be entering?
Come to think of it, JUS-san was pulling out his Cielo cross racer and doing something with it last night...
Does that mean he’s going to participate!?
