I always want to keep an open mind for new ideas.

The photo I found this morning is such a nice idea.

Hmm? You might think, "Is it just mounting a dynamo light to a rack?" but it's a very flexible idea. The part being used is this one.

Problem Solvers “Sheldon Fender Nuts” ¥1,000 (tax excl.)

Originally, these are "offset recessed nuts" that are convenient for attaching fenders to caliper brakes, but this is a mounting method that makes clever use of that structure.

What you're looking at is the stay attachment method commonly seen on Nitto racks and the SimWorks “On The Road”. It’s a detail I personally like because it’s very simple and secures firmly.

Let's try swapping that nut part with the Sheldon Fender Nuts.

By doing so, you can smartly mount a Schmidt Edelux headlight to the rack without any interference, just like this.
If you do it right, it seems like you could apply this to other lights as well.

What a stubborn guy I am...
Today was a reminder that I want to approach bikes with a flexible mindset at all times.
