I recently got my hands on a new toy.
It's an iPhone mount from BAR FLY.
We've carried them for a while, but I hadn't quite committed to using one myself. Honestly, I regret not starting sooner.
If you mount it within the rider's view, it can serve as a GPS or function like a cycling computer using various apps.
Personally, I highly recommend trying the camera position mount. I gave it a shot during yesterday's ride.
There's no need to worry about the mount slipping, and the dedicated case is waterproof—I even tested it in the rain and felt quite confident using it. Of course, you can operate the phone while it's in the case, so this brings a wealth of functionality to your bike.
By the way, the lens included with this case is a wide-angle lens, so you can have quite a bit of fun with just that.
※Please note that our current stock comes with a standard lens only, not a wide-angle one.
So, here’s some good news for iPhone 5, 5C, and 5S users.
BAR FLY for iPhone ¥14,000 → ¥9,500
We’ve made the BAR FLY for iPhone more affordable.
Why not use this to make your regular rides more comfortable and even more fun?!
Also, although it’s another last-minute announcement, we are planning our first CRC ride in a while this coming Sunday.
If you're planning on going for a ride during the holidays, joining or leaving midway is totally fine, so please feel free to come if you're available!
Date/Time: 5/4 (Sun) AM 7:30
Location: FamilyMart in front of Owari-Seto Station
We are planning a simple course that involves climbing Mt. Mikuni, descending, and heading back. (Although it's "simple," there's quite a bit of climbing involved, haha.) There are some gravel sections, but don't worry—it's nothing that road tires can't handle. We look forward to seeing the CRC members there too!
