Hello, this is JUS.
The day we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived!
That’s right, snow!
I know many of you are finding the commute to work or school inconvenient due to traffic disruptions, but some of us are absolutely stoked.
It would be so comfortable to bike to work on a day like this equipped with the three essential items from Yanack's blog post earlier! You should definitely give it a try!
Anyway, in the spirit of "comfortable commuting in bad weather," I decided on this companion for my commute today!
SURLY KRAMPUS (¥254,100 for the complete bike)
Man, it was the best.
I was grinning to myself the whole way.
The idea that extra-wide tires equal low speed just doesn't apply; it grips the snow firmly and keeps you moving.
The squishy feeling you get by lowering the tire pressure is addictive.
Once I got into the city, there was a bit less snow, so the KRAMPUS couldn't fully show off its true potential, but I made it to Circles from my home (in Kasugai City)—about 15km through the snow—in about 50 minutes. (It usually takes 35 minutes on a road bike).
The SURLY KRAMPUS lets you ride freely on or off-road, and we have a demo bike in the shop, so please come by and experience it for yourself!
