As August begins, the rainy season has ended and midsummer has arrived in earnest.
With temperatures exceeding 30 degrees every day and the scorching sun draining our stamina and energy, it’s still in our nature to open our doors and head out to play like children—whether for a ride or a hike—whenever the weather is nice. On my last day off, I started a ride in the unexplored region of Toyota City, Inabu-cho, in Aichi Prefecture. Being in the mountains, the repeated hills were exhausting, but the higher the altitude, the cooler it felt, and the scenery was fantastic, making for a very pleasant and fulfilling day.

Amidst the new COVID-19 pandemic, many are now heading into the Obon holidays and likely spending their time off differently than in years past. Some of you may be wondering where to go, while others might be planning to stay home; regardless, I recommend looking at places closer to home instead of just thinking about distant travels during this long break.
Of course, you must remain mindful of those around you, such as by avoiding the "Three Cs" (closed spaces, crowded places, close-contact settings).

At Circles, we will be taking our summer holidays from the week after your Obon break concludes, specifically from Tuesday, August 18th through Friday, August 21st. We are still debating where to go or what to do ourselves, but each of us will surely find a good way to spend the time off.

※The shop closure applies only to our physical location.
Shipping for items purchased through our WEB SHOP will continue as usual without interruption.
※Please note that inquiries via email or social media direct messages will be handled sequentially after our summer break ends, so please understand that it may take some time for us to get back to you.
By the way, as many of you are on holiday this week, we will be open as usual except for our regular closing days this coming Wednesday and Thursday, so please feel free to drop by if you have the time. We are also currently holding a spring/summer apparel sale, so you might find those clothes or accessories you wanted and can use right now.
Of course, we are operating under an appointment-only system to limit the number of people in the store, and we kindly ask for your cooperation with COVID-19 prevention measures, including wearing a mask, disinfecting, and having your temperature taken upon arrival. Naturally, our WEB SHOP remains open as usual.

Generally, we only allow entry to customers with an appointment, and it is mandatory to disinfect your hands and wear a mask upon entering.
Please note that we will continue to accept general bike repairs on the spot as always. However, because we receive many repairs every day, please understand that we will need to keep your bike and return it to you at a later date.
Additionally, our web shop is open 24/7, so please make use of it if you are only looking to shop. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about our products via email.
※Regarding email replies, we are receiving a large volume of inquiries and are responding in order, so please understand that it may take 2-3 days for us to get back to you.
※Also, due to the increase in email inquiries, we are seeing many issues such as incorrect email addresses or messages not reaching carrier-specific email accounts. If you do not receive a reply, we recommend checking the email you sent or switching to a non-carrier email address.
