We are happy to say that we have been receiving many inquiries about helmets lately.
While many of these are for new helmets for weekend rides, we have also seen a significant increase in requests from people who have started to feel that a helmet is necessary for their everyday riding situations, such as commuting to work or school.
While we appreciate everyone's growing safety awareness, we also recognize that since you spend a lot of time and ride frequently for daily commutes to work or school, it is truly important and wonderful to have the mindset of preparing for the unexpected in those everyday scenarios.
When it comes to helmets at Circles, our three mainstays are the SMITH / Network, the GIRO / Synthe MIPS AF which offers a fantastic fit for the shape of Japanese heads, and the GIRO / Syntax MIPS AF from the Asian Fit series. However, today we would like to introduce a new item that is throwing its hat into the ring as a new option.

【POC】Omne Air SPIN

Size : M (305g) / L (350g)

POC is a Swedish company that creates products with superior protective performance under the motto, "To protect athletes from serious accidents with all our might."
Located in the suburbs of Stockholm—a hub for Europe's finest technology in safety, medicine, insurance, and performance testing—POC's laboratory is dedicated to improving protective performance by patenting material combinations and structures. All their products are tested repeatedly by top athletes, and their stance of doing their best in product development—never compromising on quality, safety, or performance regardless of profit or cost—is second to none.

Speaking of POC, they have the Octal, a helmet used at the forefront of road racing. The Omne Air SPIN was born as a model that is easier to use for daily life while maintaining a high level of the elements POC believes are necessary for creating a helmet—high ventilation, lightness, and above all, safety—based on the Octal.
While it features a form that is easy to use for daily rides like commuting to work or school, it also has high ventilation for comfort in the summer and is lightweight enough that you won't get tired even on all-day rides.
Another feature of this helmet is the mechanism called SPIN (Shearing Pad INside), for which POC currently has a patent pending as a proprietary system. This function uses inner pads that resemble thick gel pads to minimize the impact transmitted to the head, brain, and cervical spine in the event of a fall. It plays a similar role to the MIPS system adopted by many manufacturers, but it is very "POC-like" to create its own unique version. During this coming season, you can also expect the pads themselves to absorb sweat.

Benedict, also known as Ultraromance, wears it casually like this, but I think it fits perfectly not only with jersey riding styles but also with shirt styles like the RAL meets folk / Player Shirt.
There are actually 7 color variations, but based on my own judgment that these 2 colors are definitely the coolest, we have brought in 2 colors this time. From everyday rides to weekend trips, this is an item that can safely cover you for everything—please feel free to come by the shop and try it on!
