PATAGONIA BLACK HOLE DUFFEL

I’ve gazed at it every day since we put it up, always daydreaming and getting excited about the story that waits behind this picture. Among the many promotional images from Patagonia, this is one of my absolute favorites (it was taken by CARL ZOCH—his other photos are wonderful too, so please take a look). The item featured here is the BLACK HOLE DUFFEL BAG.

 

 

The first thing that piques your curiosity is the unique product name. Much like a black hole that seems ready to swallow anything, this bag is characterized by its massive capacity and wide range of sizes. Furthermore, it features a rugged fabric that can take a beating and excellent water resistance, making it perfect for not only travel but also expedition use for things like races.

Recently, they have also released versions using lightweight materials, which clearly shows how much effort Patagonia is putting into the Black Hole series. While slightly less durable than the standard models, these are superior in terms of lightness and water resistance. They feature water-repellent zippers and are excellent designs that can be worn as backpacks simply by using the handles, much like a school bag for students.
