When you hear the name Panaracer, our go-to products are usually the Pasela gum-walls or the Tourer Plus, but their pure road tires are also steadily gaining popularity. I believe the Race Evo2 series is an excellent product with high cost-performance.
The Type D, in particular, is highly durable and proves its worth in demanding rides like the Rapha Continental Ride. (Are you all out there having adventures? There is a real sense of accomplishment in taking on grueling rides, entirely separate from competing for victory.)
Panaracer “Race A” 700x23mm ¥9,890
The series already featured the tubular version known as the Race A, a "jack-of-all-trades" road tire, but a new model that we've been excited about since the new catalog came out—the Race C—has now been added to the lineup.
Panaracer “Race C Evo2” 700x23mm, 700x26mm ¥9,890
With its base remaining the same as the Race A, this model features a mixed tread of chevron and diamond patterns. As the "C" (Classic) in its name suggests, it was created to handle rough road surfaces like the cobblestones found in classic races.
What’s even better is the sizing; it’s available in a 26mm width. This is definitely worth trying out. Of course, we aren't exactly entering classic races, but this makes me feel like I could start using tubulars for my daily rides too. It’s also recommended for brevets and touring. After all, adventures require the right equipment!!
