Reporting from Charlotte, this is your NAHBS correspondent.

Mic check, mic check.
Coming to you live from Charlotte, North Carolina.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of NAHBS. For me, it’s my first time back since Sacramento two years ago. Because of the location, I was looking forward to seeing East Coast builders that I’d never seen in person before.

That said, first things first: time to eat. I had biscuits and gravy, a staple around these parts. It was delicious.

Starting off with Cielo, which had been leaked in advance. The frame features a "Cognac" color, described as brandy-hued, paired with a turquoise logo. It will be released as the Turquoise Edition.

Visible in the back is the new Ruby colorway.

It’s nice to see this kind of attention to detail. It really shows how high their standards are.

The color scheme for the racer line. Simple, but with more options than before. The Classic and Racer lines each have different color schemes.

For those who want to go all the way, be sure to check out the newly added original stems as well.

And now, my pick for the best bike of the day:

Sycip “BBQ Bike”

A bike that truly celebrates the spirit of BBQ.

It even comes with a belt drive and SRAM’s electric assist as a bonus.
I’d love to go on a BBQ ride with everyone! The possibilities are endless.

In the evening, I headed to the Chris King party. I enjoyed some tacos served up by Chris King himself and Jay Sycip.

This party is held every year at a local bike shop in the host city, and I really feel that it helps solidify the local community.

And finally, a shot from today.

A heartwarming photo of Chris King and Curtis from Retrotec. Such wonderful people gathered here!
