MSR Hubba Hubba NX

Hello, this is Kenporo.
To all “RIDEALIVE” participants, have you finished preparing for your adventure yet?
Since this is a 2-day, 1-night camping tour, I imagine many of you don't own a tent.
When I traveled alone, I carried a tent, searched for a place to sleep when night fell, and the tent I pitched felt just like my own private base; that time is something I still haven't forgotten.
After returning from that trip, I had been thinking about wanting to properly introduce tents at our shop.
And so, the camping ride event “RIDEALIVE” began to take shape.

With the timing of this event, we have started carrying “MSR,” an excellent American-born outdoor brand.“MSR” Hubba Hubba NX (2-person) ¥49,000
When a bike shop handles tents, we have to consider how easy they are to pack onto a bicycle, so being lightweight becomes the top priority. Whether it’s mountain climbing or bike touring, reducing your gear weight by even a few hundred grams makes a world of difference in how much fatigue you feel.
These “MSR” tents are shockingly ultra-light. Being free-standing, lightweight, and simple in design, I am sure they will add a lot of fun to your weekend touring adventures.

The weight is an astonishing 1.5kg for the 2-person Hubba Hubba NX and 1.2kg for the 1-person Hubba NX.
By using lightweight parts for everything—including the included pegs, poles, and nylon material—they have managed to keep the weight down. In particular, the main nylon fabric is an ultra-light 20D (denier) material that also possesses solid durability.

The spacious vestibule allows you to store items like shoes, leaving the bedroom area as wide as possible. Make sure to drive the pegs in firmly so the tent is pitched taut.
The recommended season for use is from spring through autumn. It features ventilation to allow for use even in mid-summer, and the inner tent has a very large mesh area. If the weather is clear, I think setting it up with just the inner tent, without the rainfly, as shown in the photo, is also quite comfortable.

The compression-style stuff sack has a wide opening, making packing very easy. This is definitely easier than the typical drawstring bag type. It is very compact and fits neatly onto a bike carrier.

The “RIDEALIVE” trip guidebook that I’ve been secretly working on is finally complete. One week left. It's almost time.
