Sakae Park in Ichinomiya City Sen-i Danchi is home to the wildly popular event Conasai (Powder Festival), which draws huge crowds every year.

For its ninth iteration, Circles’ own food and beverage team, Pine Fields Market (PFM), was slated to make its debut, so we hopped on our bikes and rode out to the venue at the Ichinomiya Sen-i Danchi!
Conasai is a market where you can enjoy both food and lifestyle goods at once, based on the concept of "proposing a rich lifestyle through flour." There are plenty of food vendors focused on flour-based items, including breads, baked goods, pizzas, curries, and ramen!
It’s also a place where you can discover lifestyle goods and accessories to brighten up your daily life.
The distance from PFM to the venue is about 20km. We rode at a relaxed pace, chatting and having fun as we made our way through the city and along the river, where there was less traffic. Although we were worried about rain, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom and scattering in the spring breeze, allowing us to enjoy a landscape that can only be experienced at this time of year.
The event started as soon as we arrived, and we could already tell how popular it was by the lines forming at several booths. Despite the name Conasai ("Powder Festival"), there were many vendors beyond just flour-based food, including cafes like Base Coffee, the newly relocated Store in Factory, as well as florists, general goods stores, architects, and more.
There was a special atmosphere created precisely because it was an open space in a park; with food, products, and music blending together seamlessly, I felt a warmth that was sure to please everyone who attended, from children to adults.
I believe Conasai is a great way to discover new charms of Ichinomiya, so if you haven't been yet, why not head over to the next one?
We are planning to organize another ride next year, so please join us then!
