This weekend, the関西CX series will hold the UCI Makino race, followed next week by the highly anticipated Rapha Super Cross Nobeyama. As for the special guest I mentioned briefly in my previous blog post...
It is none other than Chris King staff member and Cielo/Chris King Factory CX Racer, Josh Kelley!!
He has traveled all the way to Japan to compete in the UCI Makino race and Nobeyama!
A factory rider and Oregon champion, he will be racing with a two-bike setup, both of which are Cielo CX Racers.
The race schedule is as follows:
・11/22 (Sun): Kansai CX Round 4 Makino (UCI-C2/JCX#4) – Start time 13:20
・11/23 (Mon): Kansai CX Round 5 Makino – Start time 12:35
・11/28 (Sat): Rapha Super Cross Nobeyama (UCI Elite Men) – Start time 14:45
・11/29 (Sun): Rapha Super Cross Nobeyama (UCI Elite Men) – Start time 14:40
This is a rare opportunity, so I highly encourage you to come and see him race in person. Your loud cheers and support are greatly appreciated!
Also, on the evening of next Tuesday, we will be holding a CX School with Josh!
Josh Kelley CX School
Date/Location: 11/24 (Tue) 18:30 meeting at Circles
What to bring: Bike, helmet, and lights
The school is scheduled to last about an hour.
After the school, we will have drinks and some light snacks available at HEDGEHOG DINER. Please feel free to ask him anything, from technical skills like how to clear barriers or how to mount and dismount, to what kind of training or rides Josh does on a regular basis.
If you bring a change of clothes, we can look after your belongings at Circles, so please feel free to join us after work!
