Holiday Camp Ride

RIDEALIVE 2016 is just one month away. As previously announced, it will be held at a different campsite than in the past. It’s in the same Mikawa region, but it’s a tranquil, nature-filled, hidden-gem of a campsite known only to the locals. Recently, we went on a camping ride to discuss venue preparation at this new location with the Shimoyama Saikuru Project, who are kindly helping us out.

Personally, I’m a fan of the traditional camping-touring style, but our own camping methods have been evolving—from sleeping side-by-side to using ultralight tents, there are so many ways to do it. As always, I’ll be sleeping in my hammock, swaying gently while gazing at the moon.

I always feel that breakfast is the best part of camping. It's great to chat while preparing food in our own ways, helping each other out, or laughing together over minor cooking failures. On the morning of the second day of this year's RIDEALIVE, we’re planning to have everyone make their own original sandwiches using coffee and bread rolls from PFM. We look forward to seeing everything from innovative creations to elaborate masterpieces!

On the second day, we head from the campsite toward the sea. If you’ve participated before, why not try taking on a more challenging route this time?

The destination for the second day, Cafe Ocean, is located in a beautiful spot overlooking the sea. The shop and the scenery change each time you visit, making it a place where you can relax and enjoy yourself all day long. We are also preparing activities like water play at the nearby beach, SUP, and sea kayaking, so stay tuned! (Reservations required)
