Hi everyone, Yuya here.
The Hakushu Forest Bikelore, an event I look forward to every year, has come to a close just before the start of summer.
This was the fourth year the event has been held in Hakushu.
The temperature was higher than last year, and the night festivities dragged on a bit longer, too.
Though I didn't get to burn off all my energy, I had a blast.
I am definitely going to try the tent sauna next year.
And I'm going to dive into the river down the slide.
I think I want to participate in a few more races, too.
It’s that kind of event—you always feel like you left something undone, so you find yourself eagerly awaiting next year.

I’m already talking about next year, but
it’s truly a wonderful, peaceful event where you can really have fun and relax.
They even have some (in a good way) crazy races.

Oh right, the beer race I meant to join but didn't managed to has evolved, too.
(The number of beers you drink increases with each lap—how great (?) is that? And it’s Mikkeler beer, no less.)
There were people shooting bows and arrows during the race, and a scavenger hunt...
As someone said, it’s like a field day.
It’s less of a cyclocross race and more of a feeling of playing together on a closed gravel course.
Even those who haven't ridden off-road much can truly enjoy it.
I think it’s a fantastic event where everyone who attends can enjoy the races and the gravel in a casual, friendly way.
Our youngest staff member, Theo-kun, also seemed to have a great time participating in two races: the Sun Set Rally and the Team Rally.

Enjoy the race, hit the bath, have a BBQ, play in the river, and maybe even hop in the sauna...

It’s Neverland.
You won't want to go home.
Though I ended up heading home early because I wanted to eat at a service area I was curious about.

This Hakushu Forest Bikelore even includes plans for touring outside the venue; I’d love to use the campground as a base and do more than just the races—things like touring and gravel riding.
There are probably tons of blog reports out there, so there's no point in me rambling on too long.
Next year, I really hope you’ll come out to the venue and experience that peaceful atmosphere for yourself.
