Sunday nights are for #GURUREN.

I've been completely worn out by the sweltering heat that's continued day after day, but I figured it would be a bit better at night, so I headed to Heiwa Park for our usual night cruise.

It’s great to ride fast, or just chat with friends while in the saddle. It is a cemetery, so you might feel a bit uneasy alone, but it's no problem when we’re all together.

Since it was night and a graveyard, I thought it might be somewhat cooler, but that definitely wasn't the case—it was another tropical night in Nagoya.

Once we finished riding, we headed straight to KAKUOZAN LARDER, a place we always enjoy. Hungry as we were, we stuffed ourselves with burgers and chicken over rice. And let me tell you, a Dr. Pepper really hits the spot when you're parched.

We even had a customer join us who was in Japan on an internship from the US, and people of all ages and nationalities pedaled as hard as they could. I used to ride here a lot for cyclocross training. It’s actually pretty good training if you mix in flat sections with climbs. That said, it’s not that serious—we just want people to feel free to come on any kind of bike, and we all just want to break a sweat together!

So, every Sunday night is GURUREN night. We’ll be waiting for you at Heiwa Park at 20:45!

Bring your light!!
