The cold days continue, but how is everyone doing?
It has even snowed here in Nagoya, and the mountains in Seto where I always go for a ride have taken on a new look, allowing us to enjoy snow riding—a treat that only lasts for a short period each year. However, there are still many places in the city where the road surface is frozen, so please be careful not to slip and fall.

Now, the fact that I’ve shifted from primarily riding on paved roads to enjoying gravel, and that I’ve even started participating in cyclocross races in earnest this season, is actually thanks to the #GURUREN sessions we hold regularly every week.

– GURUREN –
Date/Time: January 28th (Sunday) *Held every Sunday.
Time: 20:45–
Location: Near the Metasequoia Plaza in Heiwa Park
Items to bring: A helmet, gloves, and lights are mandatory!!
It’s a super simple ride where we just pedal as hard as we can on a loop course with straights and hills that we’ve created in Heiwa Park. But because it’s a great way to train your heart rate, maybe that’s why two of us, including myself, have been able to promote to category 3 in cyclocross this season. Also, another thing we look forward to is heading to KAKUOZAN LARDER, a burger joint in Kakuozan, after we’ve given it our all. It’s like an after-school club for adults. Of course, it’s not all about being stoic; some members just cruise along at their own pace, so women and anyone looking to get moving are more than welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!!!
