We introduced BLIND CHIC., a bag brand that started in Budapest, Hungary, in a recent BLOG post, and it received a great response. The bags crafted by designer and cyclist Julia are filled with her passion and sense of style, making their way to us across the sea.
Ever since she visited Circles with her products, BLIND CHIC. has truly captured my heart. It turns out they don't just make bags; they also create jackets perfect for cyclists. And above all, the names given to these jackets are unique.

This Gorilla Jacket is a softshell jacket designed to meet the needs of urban cyclists conquering the concrete jungle. It is designed under the concept of not compromising on your own style while maintaining the functionality of repelling wind and rain and venting heat.
*The model is 173cm/61kg and is wearing a size S.The refined softshell material is lined with fleece, making it comfortable to use from early autumn to the harsh conditions of midwinter. Based on feedback from local fixed-gear girls in Budapest, the jacket is meticulously designed down to the smallest detail, making it very comfortable while riding.

What’s more, its production method is very unique.
There is a place in their hometown of Budapest that handles everything from pattern making to sewing for the jackets that BLIND CHIC. envisions.
Called EMMAROZ MODA, this shop and atelier supports young designers in Budapest with its wealth of experience, high-quality craftsmanship by women, and aesthetic sensibility. It’s quite enviable to have such a facility in one’s city.

These days, softshell jackets are being produced by many brands based on their own ideas, making it confusing to choose. People tend to choose based on price or brand name, but I strongly want to recommend these bags and jackets from BLIND CHIC. that are filled with such passion.
*The model is 155cm and is wearing a size XS.
And of course, this Gorilla Jacket comes in women's sizes.
I’d love to see that special girl of yours wearing this while out on a bike ride.
For both men's and women's, the balance of sleeve and body length is tailored in a tighter sizing that is easy for us Japanese to fit into as well. For reference, it’s a perfect fit for Taka (168cm/59kg) in size S, and for Uno-chan (176cm/63kg) in size M while wearing an inner layer and a shirt.
Nishipan, the newcomer at Alleycat, looks good channeling his inner gorilla too!
The unique, calm color palette is also a cute touch that hints at the fact that these are created by women.
Although it’s a video from a bit earlier in the summer, I think it captures their rides, fun, the beautiful scenery of southern Hungary, and the colors and functions born from there very well, so please take a look.
