【GIRO】Asian fit models offering the ultimate in comfort

I’ve had various physical complexes—my legs are too short, my facial features are too clustered in the center—and having a large head was one of them. That said, now that I’m past 40, I honestly don’t worry about these things anymore, but I was genuinely very happy when GIRO released their Asian Fit helmets and I was able to wear a size M.

Looking just at the circumference, an M size is within the range I can wear, but due to the width of my temples and the flatness of the back of my head, I could only ever wear size L from overseas brands. Depending on the brand, it would sometimes feel like it was only resting on my temples, which was stressful because it didn't fit properly. However, GIRO’s Asian Fit helmet models cover my head snugly with no discomfort. This also affects the look; while it’s narrower vertically and wider horizontally, I’m most happy that the silhouette when worn is smaller than that of a standard overseas model in size L.

I’ve been wearing these Asian Fit helmets for the past few years, and I’m currently enjoying the Synthe Mips AF that I purchased this spring.

Just recently, we had a restock of models that had even sold out at the manufacturer, so with the 2020 lineup now well-stocked, I’d like to introduce them once again.

【GIRO】
Synthe Mips AF

Color:Matte Black , Matte White / Silver , Matte Iceberg / Midnight Bars , Matte Black Floral
Price:¥29,800 (excl. tax)

The Synthe Mips AF is a flagship GIRO road helmet featuring aerodynamic effects and excellent cooling power. Its calculated, compact form efficiently redirects wind resistance, and it also allows air to slip inside the helmet to suppress head heat buildup to the maximum extent, maintaining comfort. These features, known as cooling effects, are among the best of any GIRO helmet.

Furthermore, its beautiful, rounded, and unique silhouette gives a softer impression compared to aggressive-looking road helmets. Because of this, it fits perfectly not only for serious rides like races or training but also for casual rides in everyday clothes.

By incorporating the latest Mips protection system, it shifts the direction of impact energy applied to the head during incidents like falls, providing high-level protection. It also employs the Roc Loc Air fit system, which allows for adjustment in two directions—vertically and horizontally—so it will surely fit the head shapes of many people.

Syntax Mips AF

Color:Matte Black , Matte White / Silver , Matte Midnight Blue , Matte Midnight Bars
Price:¥15,800 (excl. tax)

The Syntax Mips AF is a model that just debuted last year, but it’s already a helmet that has gained strong support from many people. Because it’s wide and has a good amount of depth, it offers a sense of security by wrapping firmly around the head.

Additionally, like the Synthe, the outer shell uses highly durable polycarbonate, which is fused to an EPS foam liner using the In-Mold®︎ process, providing necessary and sufficient strength, durability, and breathability with an appropriate thickness.

This Syntax also features Mips and the Roc Loc Air fit system, providing superior protection and comfort for long-distance rides.

As I mentioned before, the Asian Fit is specially designed not just for width, but also for the breadth of the crown, depth, and even the positioning of the adjustment system.

Whether you are looking for design, functionality, or simply a comfortable fit that firmly wraps around your head, please do try GIRO's Asian Fit.
