I suddenly found myself doing a full flip. This is a shot I took just after I hit the shutter, once I’d confirmed my camera was safe.

That’s half true and half a lie. I was riding with some people for the first time, so that half is just me trying to cover my embarrassment. I plunged into a spot where everyone had stopped without checking properly, my front wheel caught, and although I tried to hold it together, I couldn’t kill the momentum. My body went upside down, and I landed right on the top of my head. I guess I got what was coming to me for trying to act cool.
My camera was fine, and my bike and body didn’t suffer anything major either, but the reason I was able to have a fun time after that is all thanks to my helmet. Everyone, helmets are important. You never know when or where something might happen.
In today’s blog, I’m introducing another helmet, and of course, it’s a GIRO Asian Fit model. I end up doing this every single time, but that’s only because I use them myself and really appreciate how good they are.

GIRO's First Mountain Bike Helmet with Asian Fit

The new Artex Mips AF / Artex Mips Asian Fit we are introducing is the first mountain bike helmet from GIRO to feature Asian Fit, and it’s based on the Syntax AF Mips / Syntax Mips Asian Fit, which has become a staple for road models.
High Level Protection with Mips and Roc Loc Air System

Like the Syntax, it features the Mips protection system, which redirects impact energy to the head in the event of a fall, providing a high level of protection. It also uses the Roc Loc Air Fit System, which allows for two-way adjustment (up/down and width), ensuring a great fit for many different head shapes.
The outer shell is made of durable polycarbonate and bonded to an EPS foam liner using the In-Mold® manufacturing process, combining adequate thickness with the necessary strength, durability, and ventilation.
Removable Visor

The equipped visor protects your vision from obstacles on the trail and mud kicked up by riders in front of you. It is also removable, making it compatible with a cycling cap for commuting to work or school, or for a casual look in the city.

The Asian Fit is specifically designed not just for width, but also for the space at the crown of the head, depth, and even the position of the adjustment dial, so I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't found their current helmet to be quite the right fit.

While some colors and sizes may currently be out of stock, Circles has a wide selection of other GIRO Asian Fit models such as the Synthe and Syntax, so please be sure to check them out.
