– Heartfelt from Elkton, Oregon – Randi Jo Fabrications / Pocket Tender Bag

Heartfelt items have arrived all the way from Elkton, Oregon.

The Pocket Tender Bag by Randi Jo Fabrications, which sells out every time it’s in stock. While items of this shape have become common now, this simple, user-friendly multi-bag was born about nine years ago—long before the term "bikepacking" even existed—out of the personal touring experiences of Randi and her husband, Eric.

This convenient bag attaches snugly near the stem of various bikes using three straps and remains easily accessible while you’re riding. The drawstring opening is designed for one-handed operation, making it easy to access. It’s sized to fit a 750ml water bottle perfectly, but you can also stuff it with tools, tubes, a digital camera, and more. The gusseted outer pocket is great for stashing coins, keys, or a quick snack. The foam padding sandwiched in the fabric helps protect your gear and also provides a bit of insulation.

Oh, and don't forget, bottle cages aren’t the only place to store what you need for a ride. During the colder months, it’s also nice to head out with a coffee from your favorite local café in your go-to mug. They’ve been flying off the shelves even as I write this, so there are only a few left—act fast!

We’ve also received a small batch of Wool Flip Up Caps, which are still perfect for this time of year.

Whether it’s a windy day or a snowy one, a cycling cap that covers your ears is a very reliable piece of gear. From these to our basic wool caps without earflaps and even saddle covers, every item Randi makes with love is crafted in her hometown of Elkton, Oregon—a tiny town with a population of less than 200. I highly recommend reading the linked article: "Things I Think Are Beautiful."

Pictured is the Elkton Bike Station, the bike shop run by Randi’s husband, Eric. Many major tourers plan their routes specifically to visit them, get their bikes maintained, and place custom orders for bags, jerseys, and aprons while they're there.
