If you were asked that, how would you answer? Take a moment to think about it...
So, what was your source of energy? I would answer without hesitation: "Bicycles!!"
Why do I love them so much? Of course, I can explain it in words, but I think it’s best if you actually ride one and feel it for yourself.
However, even if you’re interested in trying one out, the image of "don't you have to ride fast?" might be holding back that first step of curiosity.
I can say this with confidence: that is absolutely not the case.
"Riding at your own pace"—that is one of the keys to making cycling fun.
Now, this time, I’d like to introduce a bike that carries that very word in its name: Pacer.
It’s a spirited girl from SURLY, a slightly quirky brand that truly loves bicycles—a name you might recognize if you’ve visited Circles or checked out our blog.

Circles Complete (Size: 42cm)
The Pacer is categorized as a road model in the Surly lineup, but it’s quite different from the "light and fast" image that many people have.
It is made of steel, which is often avoided for being heavy, but that actually gives the frame a suppleness. It’s also very sturdy, so there’s no need to worry about it breaking even if you treat it a little roughly.
And once you gently start pedaling, it will stay by your side at your own pace.

We have often heard concerns from smaller riders, especially women, saying, "The handlebars and levers are large, making them hard to grip and tiring." Meanwhile, Shimano, a manufacturer of many bicycle parts, released their 2017 model components with the lovely name SORA, which have been made slightly more compact.
Yes, they came to the rescue like Prince Charming to those of us struggling with the previous issue.

Furthermore, by introducing the Wonderer Bar from SIM WORKS by NITTO—a model with a short reach—we were able to shed a light of hope for you, the small but curious rider.

The saddle has a little extra volume: WTB’s Speed She. As the name suggests, it is designed for women, and its rounded, gently curved cushioning provides a solid fit for both first-timers and experienced riders.

For the tires, we chose Panaracer’s Pasela for their suppleness and suitability for daily, long-term use. We went with the "amber/black" colorway, long-loved by cyclists, to give it a pop of style.

The overall color was finished in "Star Yellow" by Kyutai Paint, with white logos for a bright and energetic look.

Once you and this yellow companion find your pace as a wonderer, be sure to ride with your friends. Cycling is all about finding a shared pace with everyone while chatting about where you're going for lunch or the sights you're passing by.

If you feel even a little bit like you'd like to ride, please come to the shop and take a test ride!
It will surely change the image you have of bicycles completely.
Don’t be a Yellow belly!
