A transformation so dramatic it would stun even the master craftsmen! A DIY guide on "how to build a bike rack this simple, convenient, and stylish!"

It's Jas.

Today, I’m introducing this piece of gear.

This is a bicycle storage hook designed to be mounted directly onto walls or pillars.
That said, the idea of drilling into walls can be a bit daunting.
There are concerns about location, structural integrity, and it's especially tough if you're renting and can't put holes in the wall.

So today, I’d like to share some real-life examples of how people have used the Bike Hanger V to create original DIY bike racks without drilling any holes in their walls. I hope you find these helpful!

First up!

Team Rueda representative, Occi-senpai.
In a limited space, he used standard 2x4 lumber (easily available at home improvement stores) and "Diawall" brackets—which allow you to tension 2x4s between the floor and ceiling like a tension rod—to mount the Bike Hanger V and build this bike rack!
It’s super convenient because you can easily move it if you rearrange your room or add more racks later!!
The construction process is detailed on Occi-senpai’s blog, so be sure to check it out!

Next up is CRC’s very own Yohei-chan.

He also used a combination of 2x4s to build his rack.
It’s built quite solidly and looks very durable!
Storing bikes vertically frees up a significant amount of floor space, and by giving each bike its own spot, it makes taking them in and out much smoother.
Plus, above all, it just looks cool!!
It’s got that "garage" or "secret base" vibe that really appeals to guys!
You want to display your favorite bikes in style, right?

And believe it or not, I’m actually a heavy user of the Bike Hanger V myself.
My room used to look like this...

Since we work at a bike shop, most of the veteran staff at Circles own at least this many bikes.

Trying to get a bike out from the back or tucking one away was a real struggle.
Pedals would scratch the frames of other bikes, or I’d end up scraping the walls...
So, when I moved, I used the Bike Hanger V and some 2x4s to build my own solution.
And voilà...

Just look at that!

Now it's easy to grab my bikes, and I don't have to worry about scratching my precious bikes or the walls.
I used Pillar Brackets from a manufacturer called Pink Flag, which are designed to let you stand 2x4s upright. If you're looking to build a cool, functional rack without putting holes in your walls, why not give this DIY method a try?
(Just a reminder: this is at your own risk, so please be sure to carefully check the material and strength of your walls, floors, and ceilings, as well as your mounting method. If not fixed securely, there is a risk of tipping over!!)
