We have been fortunate to have a rush of bike deliveries lately. Perhaps it’s because the weather is improving, making the next few months the generally best season for riding. (Personally, I believe starting to cycle in the winter is the best way to turn it into a long-term hobby. More on that at the shop.) Although it took some time, I am relieved that we managed to get this bike to its owner during this prime season. More than that, I was truly touched that the customer understood that the time taken was due to the meticulous care I put into crafting it.

The frame is a very standard road racer made of 3/2.5 titanium, the specialty of Desalvo Custom Cycles. Desalvo himself is a graduate of UBI, where he currently teaches and educates the future of the bicycle industry while running his own workshop in Ashland, Oregon. He is a master frame builder, recognized by both peers and himself. In fact, he was the first self-employed American builder I ever commissioned.

Since this bike uses SRAM RED and ENVE carbon wheels, the total weight, including pedals and cages, is an impressive 7.2kg. The color scheme was carefully thought out by the customer himself and finished with a powder coat by the renowned American custom paint shop "SPECTRUM." Furthermore, the geometry was optimized to ensure a long-lasting relationship with the titanium frame, setting it apart from typical trendy bikes—I think it can truly be called a one-of-a-kind dream bike.

While there are many different approaches to bike assembly, we see ourselves as mere chefs who make the most of the ingredients.
