Well then, my excitement for the Nobeyama Cyclocross is building up, but at the same time, all sorts of anxieties are swirling around in my head.
One of those worries is: what gloves was I using again?
Given the intense nature of cyclocross racing, I need gloves that are reasonably thin for high operability, while also being warm enough to keep me comfortable.
Thin leather gloves are nice, but it’s surprisingly difficult to find a pair that I won’t mind getting completely muddy.
These are the gloves that wipe away all my worries!
I'm sure many of you already love DeFeet's accessories, from their arm warmers to their oversocks.
These gloves from DeFeet are excellent in terms of durability and quick-drying properties.
As you can see, they are as thin as standard knit work gloves, providing excellent handlebar control.
On the palm, there's a "D" logo that starts to look trippy if you stare at it too long, but it provides a solid grip on the handlebars.
Plus, since they are a wool blend, they offer a decent amount of insulation as well.
There are even some people who wear these throughout the entire winter. (Personally, I couldn't do it.)
I seem to be singing their praises, but don't forget that they are essentially just work gloves.
They are simply items with excellent cost performance.
And, while we're at it, this is also a great option!

If you rub this on, your cold fingertips will warm right up!
Just be careful—if you accidentally rub your eyelids, you'll be in for some serious agony!
So, that's my little bit of Nobeyama CX prep, but these are perfect items for your upcoming winter rides as well!
Please note that both Circles and Earlybirds Breakfast will be closed this weekend, Saturday 11/16 to Sunday 11/17, as we will be participating in the Nobeyama Cyclocross.
