This is the bike I got when I decided I wanted to try riding something with "gears."
I don't think many people ride a Panasonic CX.
Being the indecisive contrarian that I am, I was swayed by many temptations before finally making my choice after plenty of "this and that" back-and-forth.
One of the perks of the POS (Panasonic Order System) is that you can choose your own colors.
Since I went to the trouble of ordering it, let me share some of the details of my "this and that" thinking.
Above all, I wanted a Japanese aesthetic. The frame is a solid red with a gold logo.
Bikes with a sharp, "Western-style" red and black color scheme are common, so
I intentionally used silver and gray parts and assembled it by hand, focusing on the balance to bring out that Japanese sense of nuance. The saddle has different colors on the left and right, so the bike makes a totally different impression depending on which side you look at.
Which side do you like better?
Finally, I added a "carton cage" to create a laid-back vibe. It’s pure bliss to carry a yogurt drink in it while taking a relaxed ride during my morning commute to school or work.
Ughhh—the hype is real—!!!!
