【CNOC OUTDOORS】 Filter systems are now in stock!

This is JUS.

Today, I’d like to introduce a water filtration system from CNOC OUTDOORS that is guaranteed to be useful for long-distance touring, camping, and even in emergencies.

【CNOC】Filter System

¥9,900 (tax included)

This item is a filter system that purifies water from sources like rivers and ponds—water you wouldn't normally be able to drink—and turns it into safe drinking water.

The set includes two 2L water containers, a HydroBlu Versa Flow (water filtration filter), and a Nite Ize carabiner. It’s a surprisingly nice touch that it comes with a Nite Ize carabiner!

Until now, I’ve always packed at least 2 liters of drinking water whenever I went bikepacking or camping, but this time, I took this CNOC filter system and went camping with zero beverages other than alcohol!

First of all, I was amazed by the reduction in weight and the extra space in my pack since I didn't have to carry 2 liters of water. (My solo camping gear is really heavy...)

By the way, this entire filter system set weighs only about 235g.

Since I was scouting out the campsite this time, I drove there, but the campsite seems easily accessible by bike even from Nagoya, so I’ve decided to come back in true bikepacking style! I’ll talk about those plans another day. (Grin)

The campsite I stayed at actually allowed open fires! Since they had a wooded area as well, I went for a hammock & tarp setup and a ground-level "kamado" (hearth) fire style. It’s my favorite solo bushcraft survival style these days.

There was a river flowing in front of me, but it was swollen and muddy due to several days of rain.

Time to secure some drinking water! So, I filled the water container with river water.
The container itself is quite tough; I heard it’s okay even if you drop it while full or—believe it or not—run it over with a car!?
It can withstand an impressive 100kg of pressure. Plus, it’s rated for temperatures from -6°C to 49°C, making it perfectly suitable for summer treks in high-altitude mountains. It uses BPA-free materials, so it’s safe for human use as well.

I attached the HydroBlu Versa Flow to the water container and hung it from a tree using the included Nite Ize carabiner to filter it. (You don’t specifically need the carabiner; anything that lets you hang it works fine.)

It took less than about 3 minutes to filter roughly 2 liters of water, which I felt was quite fast. And surprisingly, the filter has a lifespan of about 400,000 liters, so it lasts a very long time! Isn't 400,000 liters amazing!?

As for the power of this filter, it removes 99.999% of bacteria such as Salmonella, Cholera, and E. coli. Furthermore, it boasts the capability to remove 99.999% of Giardia, Cryptosporidium, and protozoan cysts!

Since it was my first time using this type of purification device, I was pretty nervous until that first sip, but the moment I tasted the water, I honestly thought, "Wow, this water tastes good!"

After that, it was a huge help, not just as drinking water, but for cooking rice in my mess tin as well!

Cooking rice in a mess tin while being soothed by the bonfire, frying gyoza in an iron pan, and washing it down with a beer!! It just doesn't get better than this in nature!!

This really is my favorite way to camp!!
