Cielo by Chris King.
Chris King is committed to American craftsmanship and manufactures all of its parts in-house.
Naturally, this stance remains unchanged for Cielo frame production, where everything from machining small parts to welding and painting is done by hand.
This time, we received an order for a Sportif Racer.
The owner chose Black5, a new color in the 2013 lineup.
It is a beautiful color scheme featuring black with pink accents.
The owner, who has been riding a track bike for a long time, is a tough rider who even does long rides on a track bike.
This time, they ordered the Sportif Racer to help them ride even further.
In line with that, the bike is built with durable parts meant for a long-term relationship rather than just racing.
We decided on the newly updated 11-speed Ultegra immediately, as there was no reason not to use it.
For the wheels, we used the gold-standard combination of H PLUS SON AT-25 rims and R45 hubs. Naturally, we went with 28H.
When you ride it, you realize it’s a bike that moves forward effortlessly.
Since it can accommodate tires up to 28c, it is a sturdy bike that provides peace of mind even on slightly rough road surfaces.
The Chris King-hosted Gourmet Century was held recently, and many cyclists, including SimWorks correspondents from Japan, participated. Just looking at the photos makes me envious.
Cielo offers various models beyond the Sportif Racer introduced here.
You can choose the appropriate size from a wide range of stock sizes, and the current lead time is about two months. Please feel free to consult with us.
