The other day, a group of six of us girls went on a day hike to Mt. Tateshina. I went with friends who are new to hiking and others I usually ride bicycles with. The Merino Cap is the merino wool version of their classic Stretch Mesh Cap. It was created out of the desire to have a cap with similar functionality that could be worn comfortably during the autumn and winter months.
This cap is made from Yamatomichi's original 100% merino wool fabric, using "plied yarn"—where two threads are twisted together—to create a strong and durable finish.
I often wear this cap when cycling, climbing, or underneath my helmet while canyoning. It is so lightweight that I forget I’m wearing it, and it feels completely natural. It has the perfect thickness—not too thin, not too thick—and a great texture. The brim is set to just the right length, shielding the sun without obstructing my view, allowing me to wear it with peace of mind.
