Rémi Clermont is a designer and avid cyclist who loves heading into mountainous terrain for his rides. The extensive collection from Café du Cycliste is born from a fusion of his personal experience and his keen sensitivity to the shifting waves of fashion.
This season, the lineup has become even more diverse, with new colors added to trusted carryover items, alongside bib shorts featuring fresh, innovative ideas.
While official delivery is still a little way off, we have been displaying almost the entire collection in-store since last weekend and are currently accepting pre-orders. (*Some items are available for immediate purchase.)
The collection is full of eye-catching pieces again this season, and I'm personally having a hard time deciding which items to incorporate into my own rides this summer.
Louise
¥23,000 (excl. tax)
Released last season, the Louise jersey uses a silk-blend fabric. A new green version has been added to the previous black-only range. I’m eager to try this supple, soft-touch jersey woven with silk this season. The fabric is thin, so it should be perfect for mid-summer rides.
Blandine
¥26,500 (excl. tax)
Blandine is a new pair of bib shorts with high breathability and moisture-wicking properties. The fabric used around the thighs and sides is a mesh material, a construction I haven't seen much of before. Also, the fact that the use of silicone grippers on the leg hems is kept to a minimum is a major plus for me, as someone with sensitive skin.
I'm also looking to pick up some items from the City Series this season, which are great for a wide range of situations, from commuting and touring to mountain biking.
Edith
¥14,000 (excl. tax)
The Edith, a carryover item made from a merino wool blend, is being released in new colors. The fabric is also slightly thinner than last year's, which should make for an even more comfortable fit.
Paulette
¥17,800 (excl. tax)
The Paulette shorts are also a carryover item. There are no changes to the specifications, but new colors have been released. Naturally, I’m already envisioning a look that pairs them with the Edith.
