It is already about to be the 5th year since this weekly routine became a recurring part of my life. Is it already 5 years, or only 5 years? After throwing a 15-pound ball for 10 frames and 5 games almost every week for 4 years and some months, one thing I’ve learned is that bowling is a mystery.
Yes, "I've learned that bowling is a mystery." Just that alone has made these 5 years of throwing a heavy 15-pound ball worth it. (In reality, once you get your own ball drilled after properly measuring your fingers, you don't even feel the 15-pound weight. Size is important for everything, right?)
For 4 years and some months, week after week, we’ve been saying, "Do this," "Don't do that," "Try it this way," "That was good," "That was bad." Yet, the week after a good performance, we almost always get disastrous results. Are we improving, or are we not? Or perhaps we’re regressing? That is something I have "absolutely no idea" about.
That’s probably why bowling is so frustrating and fun at the same time.
Now, what will the next 5 years of bowling teach us? I’m sure that even 5 years from now, we’ll still be saying, "Bowling makes no sense!" And that’s fine. That’s just perfect for us.
Bowling is just right for people like us.
CIRCLES BOWLING CLUB
Now, as we hit our 5th year as a team, we, the ever-pretentious C.B.C, have decided to make team shirts.
*The name (nickname) lettering has been changed to red (dark red).
The design is by none other than "Director" Motonome Nakamura of EDIT DESIGN & SUPPLY.
The shirt used is the [RAL by Deepers] FASTPASS Active Shirt in off-white, featuring the design above in chain-stitch embroidery. (Each one is hand-stitched using a special handle sewing machine.)
Plus, it includes your name.

Of course, ordering this shirt doesn't mean you have to bowl, but as a team member, I would be very happy if you wore this shirt and bowled with us.
