Warm stories conveyed through things by patagonia

On its blog, Worn Wear, Patagonia collects and shares stories from people who have cherished their Patagonia products and worn them until they are threadbare.
These include heartwarming stories of a fleece passed down from parent to child, or the affection for a jacket that has been a long-time companion on travels. Recently, we even received a slightly whimsical story from a crinkled yet brave, light-green down parka nicknamed "Arctic Lime."I believe that the longer you use an item, the more the stories you and that item have experienced together accumulate, until eventually, it becomes something you could never let go of or throw away.
Please do take a look. It is a very interesting read. "Worn Wear"

Today, I would like to introduce "CAPILENE," a classic base layer that Patagonia is proud of.CAPILENE 2 LIGHTWEIGHT CREW – ASIA FIT ¥4,800 (excl. tax)
This summer, I wore this short-sleeved CAPILENE 2 every other day to commute about 10 kilometers each morning.
It rarely feels uncomfortable even when you sweat, as it stays dry. Another great thing about CAPILENE is that it provides warmth when it's cold, so you don't get chilled by your own sweat. It also has odor-control properties, so you don't have to worry about those around you. With that, I naturally found myself wanting the long-sleeve version as well.
The sturdily sewn out-seams are a testament to the product being built for a long life. The shoulder seams are intentionally placed inward to avoid chafing when wearing a backpack. Personally, I really like these subtle, thoughtful design touches that aren't excessive.

With the current cool weather, now is the perfect season to use the CAPILENE 2. As we get a little further into the season, there is also the option of the CAPILENE "3." The "3" is simply thicker and made with fabric intended for winter. The design is exactly the same as the "2."
CAPILENE 3 MIDWEIGHT CREW – ASIA FIT ¥5,900 (excl. tax)
The photo above shows the CAPILENE 2, and the one below is the CAPILENE 3. It's hard to tell without holding them, but the thickness changes significantly due to the different knitting methods.

Recently, a customer told me they have been using the same CAPILENE piece for 10 years. It seems it is still going strong. I think it is wonderful not just that it is durable, but that the customer still loves wearing it today.
By all means, try slipping into this base layer with such a proven track record.
