It's been a cold week here in Nagoya. I froze to death in Odaiba, so I thought I was invincible to the cold now, but it's still biting. Please take care of yourselves and don't catch a cold.
Today, I'd like to introduce something we've been eagerly awaiting.
fizik “Cyrano Handlebar R3” ¥10,850
That's right. As I mentioned when I went to the exhibition before, we've received a large shipment of fizik cockpit components.
The highlight, as expected, is the handlebars. True to the fizik name, they are in a league of their own, setting a new standard that goes beyond typical handlebar packaging. You might find yourself hoping there's a little bonus like bar tape included in the box, but please note that there isn't...
Anyway, enough about the packaging.
To put it simply, these handlebars introduce a new way of choosing that differs from the conventional criteria. Yes, fizik is known for their saddles, and these are developed based on their "Spine Concept," which is also used for selecting saddles. (*Please be sure to check here for more on the Spine Concept.)
From top to bottom, they are arranged by body flexibility: "Bull" for those with lower flexibility, "Chameleon" for those in between, and "Snake" for those with high flexibility. Let’s compare the shapes of the handlebars.

You can see from the photo that as flexibility increases, allowing for a more aggressive forward-leaning posture, the drop and reach dimensions increase from Bull to Snake.
Also, while there are width options of 400mm, 420mm, 440mm, and 460mm, the way the drop and reach dimensions change from Bull to Snake varies depending on the handlebar width.
Until now, you had to stare at these numbers and try out different ones to see what fit, but now you can choose based on your flexibility, making it easier for everyone to find the right fit.
We will be keeping the aluminum R3s well-stocked, so please come talk to us if you're interested. We are also accepting orders for the carbon R1 and high-modulus carbon 00 models!
We have also received stems to match the handlebars.

The stems are only available in aluminum. They are finished to coordinate perfectly with the handlebars.
With this, you can complete your entire cockpit with fizik components, including the bar tape.
