For the Cambium Organic Light, the front and rear base sections that support the rails have been changed from the traditional steel to a material known as "Liquid Wood," which is produced as a byproduct of the papermaking process.
Liquid Wood is a molded, recyclable plant fiber extracted during the production of paper pulp.
It is incredibly sturdy and durable, yet lighter than the traditional steel base. Most importantly, it is an environmentally friendly, biodegradable material.
The Cambium Organic Light is the world's first bicycle saddle to be made from this material.
