The weather forecast for last Thursday called for a 40% chance of precipitation.
In rather questionable weather (it had been pouring rain the day before),
I headed out to dance up the mountain pass on my new bike,
the "BREAD WINNER" (http://breadwinnercycles.com) that I introduced on the blog the other day.
For this ride, I went with Jus and Go!! to our usual mountain.
It was my first ride on the new bike amidst the rising mist.
I would have preferred to ride on a sunny day, but I just couldn't hold back my excitement (haha).
It's an ascent with an average grade of 8%—my favorite mountain lately.
My impression of riding it was that it's incredibly fast.
Along with the suppleness and resilience unique to chromoly, it also has just the right amount of stiffness.
You can really feel it transferring torque, pushing you forward steadily on the climbs.
It's the mark of a great bike!
As Makoto-shi mentioned in his blog the other day,
I truly felt that this bike would comfortably carry me even over long distances.
I had been riding aluminum/carbon frames until now, and the level of fatigue after riding the same distance is completely different.
I will introduce the bike later on Flickr and other platforms,
so please look forward to it!!
