A convenient bag that’s there whenever you reach for it – BLIND CHIC Roo

Since it was pouring rain from the morning on my day off yesterday, my wife and I spent the day driving around running various errands. (There’s something quite sad about a space heater coming back from repairs only after it’s already started getting warm...) However, the rain stopped by the evening, and we were able to catch a glimpse of a beautiful madder-red sky. Feeling that landscape and the air—cold, yet faintly lukewarm—on my skin, I couldn't help but wish I had ridden my bike today after all.

On that same day, we also made a trip to pay a visit to STORE IN FACTORY, an antique shop that has been a long-time acquaintance of ours and whom we also rely on for the fixtures used here at Circles, as they had just recently relocated and opened their new space. We also made sure to stop by their affiliated shop, THE APARTMENT STORE.

At the end of March, The Apartment Store will be moving into the same building as Store in Factory for its grand opening. I’ve been looking forward to seeing what it’s like, and before the old location closes down, we really wanted to visit one last time, as it holds so many memories for us (it was actually where we held our wedding party).

The two shops are about 1km apart, and both are roughly 5km from our home. At distances like these, I much prefer to travel by bicycle, taking it easy and enjoying the city scenery, and it’s honestly just more convenient that way.

We don’t just ride our bikes to go on long-distance rides; we use them as everyday tools and as our primary means of transportation.

Today, I’d like to introduce some items that have just arrived from BLIND CHIC, which I highly recommend for those of you who use your bikes in the city on a daily basis.

Roo

¥9,800 (excl. tax)
Colors: Yellow, Olive Green, Burgundy, Charcoal, Orange/Field Tan, Field Tan/Orange

The Roo is a versatile, compact handlebar bag. To keep your valuables like cameras and smartphones protected during rides, it comes equipped with polyfoam padding on the inside. It’s also large enough to hold a water bottle, making it perfect for storing bike locks or other small items.

It attaches to your handlebar and frame using two Velcro straps and a nylon cord. It’s a handy little storage bag that can be fitted to almost any size of handlebar, stem, or frame.

While it’s great for trail or gravel rides, you’ll really feel its utility when you’re cruising through the city at a leisurely pace.

Blind Chic: Making everyday rides more comfortable

The same can be said for all the other items from Blind Chic, a brand that energetically releases products designed to make everyday life with a bicycle more comfortable.

Their waxed canvas bags and Gorilla Jackets look fantastic with casual clothing and fit perfectly into the city landscape. Please be sure to check out the rest of the Blind Chic line-up.

Since it’s starting to get a little warmer, why not hop on your bike and head out for a quick trip nearby?
