The Mille Shorts S7 is an all-around bib short reborn with a "comfort fit"—the waistband is 1cm wider than the NeoPro shorts that were in the lineup until last year. Because of the moderately relaxed fit, even those trying out bib shorts for the first time can wear them without resistance, and because they are equipped with excellent functionality, they are also an ideal model for enthusiastic cyclists.
The current S7 series, which includes these Mille Shorts S7 that have evolved significantly from the previous S5 series, is composed of very few panels because it uses fabric with excellent stretch and durability. When using fabrics with limited stretch, the direction of the stretch must be aligned with the body's movements to ensure a comfortable riding position and efficient pedaling. Consequently, Assos bibs used to have complex patterns and many individual parts.
However, the development of lightweight, highly durable fabric with multi-directional stretch has drastically changed the construction of Assos bib shorts. While maintaining efficiency in movement, stress from seams has been greatly reduced, giving Assos' lineup of bib shorts an even more comfortable feel.

To make long-duration riding positions easier, very soft, high-breathability fabric is placed around the front abdomen, achieving a soft fit that does not constrict the midsection.
The fabric on the surface of the chamois that touches the skin has also been given a more comfortable texture. Furthermore, a section of the cushioning material at the front has been cut out and replaced with a different, softer material to provide excellent breathability, calculated to maintain comfort even during long rides.
Furthermore, the rear part of the chamois is not stitched directly to the body but is attached via a separate piece of fabric, leading to improvements in all functional aspects such as fit and breathability. Care has also been taken to ensure that no seams appear on the skin-facing side here either. And for even greater cushioning, the foam itself uses a thickness of 10mm, which is thicker than usual.
