People often say to us, "I'm surprised a bike shop carries running shoes!" But just like RIDEALIVE, at Circles, we propose various ways to play with cycling at the core, and running is one of the activities we introduce. Running has become a part of my daily routine, and since the pair of ALTRA shoes I've been wearing for nearly a year have gotten pretty beat up, I was just thinking it was about time to replace them when the new models arrived!
The Instinct is the road model that serves as the origin of ALTRA, a brand that sets itself apart from others with its shoes that allow for a natural running form. Compared to the simple previous model, it has been updated in design and upper materials, making it a shoe that truly represents the characteristics of ALTRA. It’s an easy model for beginners to try out zero-drop, so please give it a try!
And we can’t forget the Lone Peak, the trail model that represents ALTRA. We haven't been able to introduce this model much because it was out of stock at the manufacturer, but we have a full range of sizes available now!
This model is appealing for its high potential and design that can be used in a variety of situations, from trail running to hiking. Also, because the sole is firmer than the road model, I personally think it's good for cycling too. It transmits power to the pedals firmly, so why not ride flat pedals to the mountains and enjoy some activities there?
And now, an invitation to go for a run!
It’s short notice, but the day after tomorrow, Tuesday the 9th, we’ll be hosting a run with Mr. Arakawa from Patagonia! If you're free, would you like to join us? Just between us, Mr. Arakawa is also a devoted ALTRA user.
Date: Tuesday, February 9th
Meeting time: 7:30
Meeting place: Circles
The goal is Pine Fields Market. We’ll all run about 5–6 kilometers together, and then have breakfast at the PFM finish line!
Anyone is welcome to join, so if you have time, please come run with us!
