I went to the mountains in Suzuka recently to hunt for nameko mushrooms. Since that was the main goal, I didn't have high expectations for the mountain itself, but the autumn leaves were beautiful and it turned out to be a wonderful place. As for the mushrooms themselves, unfortunately, I didn't find that many... However, I managed to secure enough for a meal, so I made some miso soup and ate them as sashimi right there on the mountain; the natural nameko had such a wonderful aroma and tasted delicious.
