This is JUS.
"Koshien," the dream stage for high school baseball players.
While heated battles are taking place every day at Hanshin Koshien Stadium, on August 18th and 19th, as you all know, the "Haiku Koshien," or the National High School Haiku Championship, will be held in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture!!
From my home prefecture of Aichi, my mother Midori Ito's (she has the same name as that figure skater, but they are different people) alma mater, Okazaki Higashi High School, will be competing in the Haiku Koshien!!
Everyone, please show your support!

However, I have to say, it feels a bit unnatural to call it "Haiku Koshien" when it's held in Matsuyama City, Ehime, since Koshien is a place name in Osaka where the stadium is located.
I have to wonder about the trend of naming every national high school tournament (especially for cultural clubs or martial arts) "◯◯ Koshien." Especially since Matsuyama City officially declares itself "Matsuyama, the City of Haiku!!"... to name it "Haiku Koshien"...
Haiku Koshien Executive Committee! Why not solicit some better names for the tournament? I would definitely enter! For that matter, why not make the tournament name 5-7-5 as well!!
Changing the subject slightly, on August 19th, the day of the Haiku Koshien finals, we will be holding the Grease Monkey Bike School Advanced.
The instructor will be me, JUS!
Recently, not just mountain bikes, but even entry-grade cross bikes sometimes come equipped with hydraulic disc brakes.
For those who have bought or are considering buying such mountain bikes or cross bikes, are many of you worried that "hydraulic brake maintenance must be difficult..."?
So! The content for this advanced school is "Let's try changing hydraulic disc brake oil!"
What is the mechanism of a hydraulic brake anyway? Changing oil? What is bleeding? In addition to the methods and procedures for changing the oil, I will generously lecture on one-point advice not found in manuals and my own JUS-style oil change method!!
However, this time it will be limited to Shimano mountain bike-spec hydraulic disc brakes. The reservoir tank shape can be either the old model or the current one.
*We will be holding sessions for Shimano hydraulic disc road brakes and SRAM hydraulic systems in the future, so please look forward to those!

【Course Content】
・Mechanism of hydraulic brakes
・Explanation of hydraulic brake types and their component configurations
・Setting methods and explanation for bleeding
・Practice, precautions, tips, and tricks for bleeding.
*Please note that while we intend to focus on the above content, there may be some changes depending on the progress of the session.
