Everyone, do you wear cycling shorts when you go for a regular ride?
Especially when you're planning to ride long distances, the power of a pad is truly great, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable ride. That said, there are quite a few people who feel a bit resistant to the form-fitting look of cycling shorts, or who don't ride aggressively and want to ride in casual clothing but still want to avoid saddle soreness.
Today, I’d like to introduce an unsung hero that comes in handy for such occasions.

[7MESH] M’s Ak1 Undershort
¥17,820 → 30% off with coupon code “summersale2018″ ¥12,474

With a fabric that might make you think it's inside-out, this is a padded inner short. Often called a liner short or inner pants, it's basically a pair of padded shorts worn in place of underwear. With these, you can wear them under your favorite casual shorts and enjoy a comfortable long ride.
The 7MESH Ak1 Undershort was designed to be worn under the trail-riding shorts they release (sorry, these are sold out due to the sale!), but it’s also a convenient item for touring, train-based trips, or any other time when full cycling shorts aren't strictly necessary.
Common inner shorts are often thinner than the pads found in cycling shorts, but the padding in these has cushioning that rivals them, and the seams are crafted to ensure they don't rub against your skin. (It’s thanks to this finishing that it looks like it's inside-out!)
Of course, if you’re just concerned about the look, you could wear cycling shorts underneath and casual shorts on top, but these inner shorts use highly breathable material, so the comfort when layering is completely different. That said, as they are essentially underwear, please note that they cannot be worn on their own.
The leg hems feature silicone thread stitched in, and while the method differs from the TWIN SIX bibs that Yanack introduced the other day, it is designed with care to prevent skin irritation, even for those with sensitive skin.
As far as I know, this is the most expensive inner short out there, but there is no doubt that it’s worth every penny. It’s a true unsung hero that only the person wearing it can appreciate. It’s worth investing in high-quality items, especially the ones that remain hidden.
