28H

As recently announced by the great Shimano, hydraulic STI levers for cyclocross components are finally being released. This time, they are compatible with electronic shifting systems, and while I personally hope for a mechanical version in the future, they seem like they will allow for stress-free operation during CX races.

More than that, however, what caught my eye the most are the hubs.

HB-CX75HB-CX75 ¥5833

FH-CX75FH-CX75 ¥10538

These feature center-lock disc mounts, with the rear hub supporting 135mm spacing and 10s/11s compatibility.
What caught my attention is that both the HB-CX75 and FH-CX75 are only available in 28H.
Shimano certainly knows how to keep up with trends. There are an increasing number of durable rims available that can be built up reliably with 28H, so our options are expanding significantly. While 32H may provide more peace of mind depending on the rider's physique and intended use, there is no doubt that the trend is gradually shifting toward 28H. Many of our staff and the riders around us are already using 28H on a regular basis.
These would be great for builds like the Salsa Colossal or the Warbird.

Delivery is expected around October or November. Something to look forward to!!
