Chris King is a manufacturer that consistently leads the cutting edge of bicycle component production. With the premise of using high-quality items for as long as possible, they are a company that remains committed and creative in every field—from the performance of their parts to helping build the bicycle communities where their products are actually used, and even to environmental protection for society and their employees.
Chris King celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Circles has yet to reach the heights of the history they have walked, but through SimWorks, we have come to work with them as business partners. Thanks to your support, we at Circles were also able to celebrate our 10th anniversary this December, and they kindly responded to our earnest request to create something special to mark this commemorative milestone. Yes—if you have the desire to create something, you can make it happen.

【Chris King】 NoThreadSet Head Set Circles 10thAnniv Edition 1-1/8″ ¥19,800 (excl. tax)
Purchase here
We requested this special edition, which features our familiar Circles OK mark etched onto their NoThreadSet—a product that could arguably be called the one most infused with the spirit of Chris King.
The steering assembly is a vital part of the bicycle and can be considered a lifeline for any cyclist. Any play or looseness while riding not only causes stress for the rider but can, in some cases, put stress on the frame as well. The headset, which controls such an important area, must satisfy the requirements for toughness and high precision while also being a beautiful component that makes you strongly desire to own it.
If you ask me what changes when you install this headset, I wouldn’t say there is a dramatic transformation. Rather, I would answer that the true essence of this headset is the fact that it simply will not break, and you can continue to use it for a long time without worrying about the stress of play or looseness. Even if your frame were to reach the end of its life, you could move this headset to your next frame. It has that level of durability, and as a standalone component, it is a beautifully refined piece of engineering. It is deeply moving to me that this headset, which has long been a dream component, has now taken shape as an item to celebrate our 10th anniversary here at Circles.
Available in three colors: red, black, and silver. Each color is a limited-quantity special edition. We anticipate requests for just the stem caps, but please understand that these are sold as a set. While part of us wants to treat them as family heirlooms, we firmly believe that you can only truly experience the Chris King philosophy by putting their products to full use, and we sincerely hope you will keep using them until the generation of your grandchildren!
