[NEW STAFF] I'm Kosei!

Hello, I'm Kosei. Osu🥋

Just 22 and only recently old enough to know what's what, I'm currently working as a part-time mechanic at Circles!

Half a year has passed since I started living in Nagoya.

Happily, I spend every day working as a mechanic, and on my days off I look for mountains I can reach under my own power, east or west, and go and play.

When I think back over the time since I moved to Nagoya, I can hear the sparkling whirr of a freewheeling hub in my head.

Lately, I suppose what's fun is riding around town with friends on cold nights, lightly dressed, with my face, hands and feet freezing.

If the bike is my life, then I've got plenty of hobbies.

In my high school days during the pandemic, I was fortunately in the rudest of health, so almost every day I went around the local ponds, rod in hand, bass fishing.

In my university days, a commercial planner from a certain major ad agency, whom I loved, said in a lecture,

“Right now, soak yourself to death in the things you love.”

I took those words at face value, and as a result

I watched films whenever I had a spare moment, read books because that left me unsettled and ended up even more unsettled, and sometimes music would resolve it. I was as contrary as they come.

Well, that's the kind of person I am!

I'm still at all of them, but since the bike became my life in Aichi, at Circles, it feels as if they've all started turning nicely.

(Why do you work at Circles?)

I'm not Stevie, but I suppose it's exactly like this.

To put it plainly, simple soul that I am, I'm really happy when it's easy to see where the money I earn has flowed in from, and to put it more plainly still, I like an old-school? village-society kind of life that turns within arm's reach. But don't you think one downside of that is the whole “going major is uncool” thing! Like being too embarrassed to listen to something once it's become a Tik Tok sound, ha; until a few years ago I was like that too

But now I think maybe it's all right to set out from that well for the great ocean... and while I was thinking that, before I knew it I was at Circles.

MY BIKE

BASSI BIKES Hog’s Back

My daily commuter, and a big-hearted partner that can even handle a dirty ride every weekend!

It wears the saintly face of a touring bike, yet the tires at its feet are Fat ones brimming with wildness, and thanks to its highish BB I've lost count of the times I've avoided scraping on rocks.

Before long I plan to make the most of this thing, covered in eyelets as it is, and go bikepacking for about two weeks, so I'll tell you about that another time!

And that's about it; this was Kosei.

Nice to meet you all!! Osu🥋
