【NEW STAFF】I'm Dora-chan! 🐲

Me writing the blog night after night🔥

Nice to meet you! I’m Ryusei Nagao, also known as "Dragon," and I joined the Circles team at the end of March.

People call me by various names like Dragon, Dora-chan, Ryu-chan, or Okkun. (Ryusei → Ryu → Dragon🐉 → Dora-chan)

I’m from a city called Izunokuni in the eastern part of Shizuoka Prefecture, which you might know as one of the cycling venues for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Compared to the city, there were fewer trains and buses, so for me as a student, the bicycle was my only means of transportation.

During my school days, I spent my time roaming through nature—carrying a fishing rod to go sea fishing on the coast of Numazu, riding over the Amagi Pass or through the mountains around the Izu Shuzenji Cycle Sports Center on a road bike I bought with my part-time job earnings, and even riding all the way to Yamanashi to cycle around the Fuji Five Lakes.

In 2017, I joined GIANT JAPAN and moved to Nagakute City, Aichi Prefecture. There, I spent my days working on everything from sales and mechanics to ride events, gaining experience with a wide variety of bikes, including hybrids, road bikes, CX, MTBs, and E-bikes.

During that time, after moving to Aichi, I first visited Circles through an introduction from Mr. Akamatsu of AYA BIKES. I was deeply impressed by the profound world of steel frames and the many ways to enjoy cycling beyond just racing, and after a few twists and turns, I eventually joined the Circles team!

Now, I’m using the experience I gained at GIANT to work as a mechanic, helping customers with bike builds, repairs, and maintenance consultations.

You can usually find me in the 1F PIT, so please feel free to stop by if you have any trouble with your bike!

I look forward to working with you all!
