VELO ORANGE
The Constructor Rear Rack meets the minimum requirements for an elegant, small, and sturdy rear rack for everyday use that does not require a heavy-duty touring rack. It can also accommodate a small pannier set for weekend excursions. It can also serve as a platform for large saddlebags, or you can load a top bag or other items to be placed on top of the rack.
All Velo Orange racks are made of chrome-plated stainless steel tubing to resist rust. They can also be refinished to shine like a mirror after years of usE As with all racks, there are light mounts on the sides of the platform. The height from the lowest hole in the tang to the bottom of the platform is 36.5 cm (14.5"), the length is 20.7 cm (8.5"), the width is 10.2 cm (4"), and the tombstone (backstop) is 9.5 cm (1") high.
The rack can be mounted in two ways. It can be connected directly to the rear fender using the screw holes on the backside of the rack or it can be attached to the seat stay bridge using struts (standard equipment or not available in the XL size).
The platform of the rack is 10.5 cm x 26 cm. The distance between the cross pieces of the platform is 148 mm. From the center of the bottom hole, the rack is approximately 36 cm high.
Mounting is by four holes in the bottom hanger that can be cut to fit most bikes with 700c, 650b, or 26" wheels.
