TRP / TRP , a third-party manufacturer of high-performance brakes, has released the SPYRE SLC mechanical disc brakE

While most mechanical disc brakes (wire-operated disc brakes) only have a piston on one side, the SPYRE is an opposed-piston model with pistons on both sides.

The opposed pistons allow the brake rotor and pads on both sides to contact the brake rotor evenly, dramatically improving both braking performance and touch feeling.

SPYRE SLC is a lightweight model with arms made of carbon. It is compatible with road levers, so it would be ideal for updating disc road and CX vehicles.
